Yesterday, 9th of July, 2023 was a day filled with fun and happy moments with friends, admirers and members of Salman Shagaya Foundation in commemorating the birthday of Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya as convened by the Director General, Alhaji Muftau Akanbi Oke. The day would not have been this beautiful if not for those who had come together with several goodwill gestures and messages by sharing their stories and experiences about the celebrant.
According to the Director General, the special event to mark the 43rd birthday anniversary of Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya — 7 Star General — was imminent to celebrate his remarkable achievements and impacts on not just the members of the foundation but also to the entire human race. His birthday was on the 7th of July but activities of several individuals intended to invite made it to be hosted in arrears.

While giving his goodwill message, Hon. Abubakar Sulyman Sai Kayi extolled Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya: “The best moments in life are the ones that take us by surprise. They capture us to the deepest end of our souls. Alhaji Sheriff personifies generosity and compassion. He had supported several causes without making noise over it”.
Another goodwill message was captured from Hon. Seko. He highlighted how Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya brought joy to the faces of hundreds inhabitants across Kwara North with his home solar panels to lighten up their various households: “There are people who come into our lives and make a lasting impact. Without them, we feel empty. You are that person to me. Thank you for the generous and thoughtful philanthropy”.
Everyone was left dumbfounded when high profile stakeholders, friends and associates of Salman Shagaya Foundation stormed the Hon. Muktar Shagaya office located in New Yidi road, Ilorin to celebrate the 43rd birthday of Alhaji Sheriff Shagaya.
Host of attendees shared their testimony about the “seven star general” while singing some beautiful birthday renditions and combined with excitement, almost moved to tears of joy. They lauded his selflessness, dedication and commitment to supporting humanity.
According to them, since his engagement with the less fortunate in the society, he has been a great asset in the state and the country at large. They, however, prayed for continued prosperity and peace of mind together with long life.
