A youth based pro-democracy group in Kwara, Kwara Youth for Asiwaju has commended the government of Kwara State under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for her responsiveness in addressing the economic crisis birthed by the fuel subsidy removal.
In a statement released by the organization, it read:

The leadership and entire members of Kwara Youth For Asiwaju has commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his quick interventions and palliatives to mitigate the effects of Fuel subsidy removal in the state.
In a statement released by the Director General and Publicity Secretary, the group noted that the Governor’s approach to addressing the negative effects of fuel subsidy has not only been pragmatic but also backed by transparency and public engagement.
“We appreciate your understanding that fuel subsidies, although well-intentioned, often lead to unintended consequences such as distorted market prices and unsustainable economic practices. By taking prompt action to address this issue, the Governor has showcased his commitment to creating a more stable and prosperous future for our dear state”
“As we express our heartfelt appreciation, we also pledge our unwavering support to your administration’s endeavors. We stand ready to join hands with you in implementing further initiatives that will uplift our state and its people, and we remain confident in your ability to lead us towards even greater achievements”, the statement read.
“We equally want to appeal to residents to support the federal and state governments and maintain peace and lawfulness in order to improve people’s livelihoods.”
