Today, Monday 24th of January, 2022, the Tech2Grassroots organization hosted Kwara Digital Education Summit 2.0 at the Kwara State Banquet Hall, Ilorin. The event which marked the United Nations International Day of Education 2022, themed: Changing Course, Transforming Education, honoured the Honourable Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Kwara State, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu with ‘Education Impact Award’ in recognition of her outstanding contributions and commitment to the development of Education and Sustainable Development Goals, in Kwara State.
Digitaleducation is the innovative incorporation of modern technology and digital tools, to enhance the progress of teaching and learning. It will allow people to continue to participate in social life in a self-determined manner, in the future.
While giving her remarks, the education commissioner lauded the organizers of the event; and their target of enlightening and exposing the young pupils, to basic information technology in the education sector.
She emphasized that the program was also an approach to suit international best practices, as there are changes in the global education trend, from conventional education to technology advancement.
“I seize the opportunity to appreciate Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for revitalizing education in the state. The present administration recently signed the MOU to introduce technology-driven teaching mechanism, known as Kwaralearn, to public primary schools in the state, as one of the yardsticks to transform the education sector”, she added.

Moreso, for his vision to transform his kingdom’s economy and education, through the technology”, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu noted.
