They would openly tell lies,
In pretense, act humble to your eyes.
And to quench your blaze of glories,
They fabricate some cock and bull stories.
Should you act upon what you were told?
The wrath of your partner would be something to behold.
You would consider them best of friends,
In time of crisis, who should try to make amends.
You feel they are reliable shoulders to lean on,
But they would torture; make you leap and run.
Should you give them chances to get more closer,
You would have more rhetoric questions difficult to answer.
They would act as mediators many a times,
Elsewhere, revel in revealing your secrets and crimes.
To your partner who expects some compassionate words,
They take delight opening up your bad records.
Should she ignorantly fall in their treacherous traps,
This would sadly end up creating a bird’s-eye gaps.
They know your strengths and weaknesses,
To believe their tales, feel you would need no witnesses.
Feed your ego and anger with delicious lies,
Their narratives would grip you by complete surprise.
They would want to enslave your trust and kill all emotions,
Knowing your nature, confident it would end in commotion.
Why should you believe their misleading tales?
When you could sit selves down for the factual details.
They are fake friends who hug you everyday,
Seek to protect, but use your feelings in negative way.
Like shadow, follow you in the sun but leave in the dark,
Should you confide in them, they keep stabbing you in the back.
